An Interview with Maurice Daher:

Maurice, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you became interested in Cyclodextrin based wellness supplements like AtheroCare?

My journey into clinical nutrition began over 19 years ago, driven by a passion for understanding how targeted nutritional interventions could support overall wellness. Throughout my career, I've been particularly interested in cardiovascular health and the role of oxidized lipids in the aging process. When I first encountered cyclodextrins in the research literature, what captured my attention was their unique ability to bind with and help remove oxidized lipids from the body. The science showing how these ring-shaped molecules could actually encapsulate oxidized cholesterol and support the body's natural arterial health maintenance was groundbreaking. AtheroCare represented an opportunity to work with a targeted approach to one of the fundamental challenges of healthy aging – the accumulation of oxidized lipids in our cardiovascular system.

You’ve now worked with over 90 individuals using AtheroCare  Cyclodextrin or Cyclodextrin what initially drew them to explore this option? Were there any common wellness concerns or lifestyle goals?

The individuals seeking out AtheroCare were predominantly focused on cardiovascular wellness and healthy aging. Many had done their research on oxidized lipids and understood how these compounds can accumulate in arterial walls over time. They were looking for a proactive approach to support their body's ability to manage these oxidized lipids. Common concerns included family histories of cardiovascular challenges, personal markers indicating the need for arterial health support, and a desire to address the root mechanisms of cardiovascular aging rather than just managing symptoms. Many were sophisticated wellness consumers who understood that oxidized lipids play a central role in arterial health and were seeking a science-based approach to support their body's natural repair mechanisms.

For someone completely new to AtheroCare Cyclodextrin, how do you usually describe what it is and how it fits into a broader wellness routine?

I explain that cyclodextrins are ring shaped molecules that act like molecular "sponges" specifically for lipids, particularly oxidized cholesterol. Think of oxidized lipids as damaged fats that can accumulate in your arteries over time. Cyclodextrins have a unique ability to capture these oxidized lipids and help facilitate their removal from the body. AtheroCare delivers these cyclodextrins in a way that maximizes their ability to support your body's natural arterial maintenance processes. In a broader wellness routine, it works as a targeted intervention for cardiovascular health – while diet and exercise help prevent new oxidized lipid formation, AtheroCare helps your body address what has already accumulated. It's part of a comprehensive approach to supporting arterial flexibility and overall cardiovascular wellness.

Among the people you’ve worked with, what are some of the most frequent changes or wellness observations they’ve shared after using AtheroCare Cyclodextrin?

The observations shared by individuals using AtheroCare often relate to cardiovascular wellness markers. Many report improvements in their energy levels and exercise capacity, which makes sense given the role of arterial health in oxygen delivery throughout the body. Some have shared improvements in their blood pressure readings and overall cardiovascular markers when monitored. A number of people describe feeling a difference in their circulation – warmer extremities, better color in their skin, and improved recovery after physical activity. Several individuals have mentioned that their healthcare providers have noted improvements in arterial flexibility assessments. I always emphasize these are individual observations and that results vary, but the pattern suggests that supporting the body's ability to manage oxidized lipids can have wide ranging wellness benefits. And few handful have seen calcification drops by more than 100 points than previous testing through CCTA scans.

AtheroCare is administered rectally, which can be unfamiliar or even off putting for some. What has the response been like to this method of delivery?

The rectal administration method is chosen specifically because it allows the cyclodextrin to enter systemic circulation without being broken down by digestive processes. This is crucial for maintaining the molecular structure needed to bind with oxidized lipids. When I explain that this delivery method provides direct access to the circulatory system where oxidized lipids accumulate, most people understand the rationale. The venous drainage from the rectal area provides an efficient pathway for cyclodextrins to reach arterial tissues where they're needed most. Once people understand that this isn't just an arbitrary choice but a scientifically-optimized delivery method for addressing oxidized lipids, acceptance is typically much higher. Many report that knowing they're using the most effective delivery method for arterial health support makes the minor inconvenience worthwhile.

Have there been any general patterns in how quickly individuals tend to notice a shift in their wellness experience after starting AtheroCare?

The timeline for noticing changes often correlates with the body's natural processes for addressing oxidized lipid accumulation. Some people report subtle improvements in energy and mental clarity within the first 1-2 weeks, possibly related to improved circulation. However, more significant observations related to cardiovascular wellness typically emerge after 4-6 weeks, which aligns with the time needed for meaningful changes in arterial health. The most substantial reports often come after 3-4 months of consistent use, which makes sense given that arterial remodeling and the reduction of oxidized lipid burden is a gradual process. I remind people that we're supporting the body's natural repair mechanisms, not forcing rapid changes, so patience and consistency are essential.

You’ve worked closely with people across different age groups and backgrounds, have you noticed any key lifestyle factors that influence how people respond to Cyclodextrin use?

Lifestyle factors significantly influence outcomes, particularly those that affect oxidized lipid formation and cardiovascular health. Individuals who minimize processed foods, oxidized fats, seed oils and artificial sweeteners in their diet tend to see better results – they're reducing new oxidized lipid formation while AtheroCare helps address existing accumulation. Regular cardiovascular exercise appears to enhance benefits, likely because improved circulation helps distribute the cyclodextrin and supports the removal of captured oxidized lipids. Antioxidant intake through diet or supplements also seems supportive, as it helps prevent new lipid oxidation. Interestingly, those who manage stress well tend to report better outcomes, which aligns with research showing stress hormones can accelerate lipid oxidation. Smoking status is particularly important – current smokers typically see less dramatic results, as they're constantly creating new oxidized lipids.

From your perspective, how does AtheroCare stand apart from other wellness supplements you’ve encountered? Is there something unique in its mechanism or philosophy that resonates with your practice?

AtheroCare is unique because it directly addresses a root cause of arterial aging – oxidized lipid accumulation – rather than just supporting general cardiovascular health. Most cardiovascular supplements work by providing antioxidants, supporting nitric oxide production, or managing cholesterol production. AtheroCare takes a different approach by actually helping to remove oxidized lipids that have already formed and accumulated in arterial walls. This "removal" rather than "prevention-only" mechanism is what sets it apart. The philosophy of supporting the body's natural arterial repair processes by addressing accumulated damage resonates deeply with my practice. It acknowledges that despite our best preventive efforts, some oxidized lipid accumulation is inevitable with aging, and provides a tool to support the body's ability to manage this accumulation.

For people who may be hesitant, perhaps because they’ve tried everything else - what would you say to encourage them to consider AtheroCare as a wellness option?

I understand the frustration of trying numerous cardiovascular health approaches without achieving desired results. What I explain is that most approaches focus on preventing new damage – through antioxidants, cholesterol management, or blood pressure control. AtheroCare offers something different: support for addressing oxidized lipids that have already accumulated in your arteries over years or decades. If previous supplements haven't provided the cardiovascular support you're seeking, it may be because they weren't addressing this accumulated oxidized cholesterol. The science behind cyclodextrins' ability to bind and remove oxidized lipids is well-established, with decades of research. I encourage looking at this as addressing a missing piece in your cardiovascular wellness puzzle – you may have been doing everything right to prevent new damage, but without a way to support your body's management of existing oxidized lipid accumulation.

Looking ahead, what excites you most about the growing awareness around Cyclodextrins and their place in proactive health and wellness practices?

What truly excites me is the paradigm shift in how we approach arterial health and aging. The growing understanding that we can support the body's ability to address accumulated oxidized lipids – not just prevent new accumulation – opens new possibilities for healthy aging. The research showing cyclodextrins' ability to support arterial health by managing oxidized cholesterol represents a breakthrough in our approach to cardiovascular wellness. I'm particularly excited about the potential for earlier intervention – imagine if people in their 30s and 40s could begin supporting their body's management of oxidized lipids before significant accumulation occurs. The integration of cyclodextrin therapy into comprehensive cardiovascular wellness protocols could fundamentally change how we age. As more research emerges on optimal protocols and delivery methods, I believe we'll see cyclodextrins become a cornerstone of proactive cardiovascular health maintenance.
